Why Water Saftey Spirit Week?

Drowning is the #2 leading cause of accidental childhood death for kids 1-14 years old. Our goal with Water Safety Spirit Week is to bring drowning prevention to the forefront of our conversations.

FAQ

How can I enroll in Swim Lessons?

You can enroll in our year round swim lessons by visiting this page. If you have questions about finding the right class for your family, contact us here, call or text us at (504) 645-0749, or message us on Facebook

What age do you start lessons?

We start lessons at 2 months old and we recommend starting as soon as you can. Remember, drowning is the #1 cause of accidental childhood death for babies 1-4- the sooner we can teach them water safety skills, the better! For more information on classes, click here.

My school isn't participating-what can I do?

You can fill out this form and we will reach out to your school. You can also contact your principal and share our flyer or website. If your school doesn't participate, that's okay! You can still join us by taking the water safety pledge, having your child take the water safety pledge, and following along on Facebook or Instagram!

What's next after Water Safety Spirit Week?

What's next? Encourage your school to participate in our Water Safety Field Trips happening in May. If you aren't enrolled in swim lessons, now is the time. If you are already enrolled in swim lessons, you can learn more about keeping your family safe and tips for learning to swim by visiting our blog
